When God spoke to me, about taking a leap of faith and moving to Alaska, he made a promise that He would provide.
God and I were having a conversation one day, about should we take that step of faith or not, and how Eric will think I am nuts...you know typical argument with God. Then there was a knock on our camper door, and it was a friend who also lived at the campground in their RV. They were leaving for vacation and he wanted to give us the contents of his freezer so it would not go to waste. I thanked him and after he left, I went straight to my small freezer (size of a dorm fridge) and loaded it up, and as I did God spoke. "I will provide for you just like this." That was the turning point in our conversation.
Fast forward to today. Can I say, He has honored that promise. Rarely do I have to buy meat. We have been blessed with Moose, Salmon, and Halibut. There is also a couple who provides us with Pork Chops, Chicken, Stew Meat, Ground Turkey...Our freezer is Full!
So today, around lunch time, I was walking from the Church to the Parsonage, on the road due to the rain, and I saw a vehicle stop and back up. Sure enough it was a lady from church.
"Do you want some Salmon?"
"Sure!" I said.
"Ok, I am going to run home and get it for you."

I thought, "Thank you Lord!" We had 1 more serving of Halibut left and then our fish would be gone...not that we would go hungry, we have plenty of meat, but the variety is awesome.
About 15 minutes later, here she comes with a garbage bag that held two salmon, headed and gutted. So my adventure this afternoon was learning to fillet Salmon....Thank you YouTube! I was able to divide it into 6 meals, Praise God!
But the story does not end there. Eric has a friend who told him, "Next time I have an opening on a fishing trip, I will give you a call." Guess who is going on his first fishing trip tomorrow at 6:45am! HAHA! If any of you know Eric, you know why the 6:45 is funny...hahaha.
Well, when God makes a promise he does not fail to deliver.
